Support Me

**TRAIL UPDATE 6/25/17: I will be returning to the trail on or around June 27th after recovering from yet another stress fracture, this time in my leg. I still have plans on completing the entire AT, but will be jumping ahead to Delaware Water Gap, PA at the PA/NJ border in order to summit Mount Katahdin before Baxter State Park closes for the season. Then I'll be returning to North Carolina to finish the miles I missed. Prior to leaving the trail, I have completed 288.2 miles and 1 state (Georgia). Thanks again for helping this cause that matters so dearly to me!

My trail name is Stubbs, and I'm going to make a second attempt to thru hike the Appalachian Trail (Springer Mountain, Georgia to Mount Katahdin, Maine) in 2017. I hiked over half of it in 2016, but decided to get off trail due to a stress fracture in my hip. I've been a sufferer of depression and found that hiking the trail has significantly improved my wellbeing, so I decided to hike with a bigger purpose this time around.

100% of proceeds goes towards the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. The BBR Foundation uses funds towards NARSAD (National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression) Grants which support research in mental illness in the areas of Depression, Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, Post-Traumatic Stress, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Thank you for all of your support towards me on my journey and towards this great cause. Feel free to follow me on my journey on Facebook at Stubbs Rambles On, on Instagram, and/or subscribe to my personal blog here or follow my articles on The Trek.

Hike Happy!
