2012 Women's Mental Health Conference: The Art and Science of Caring New York, NY

 

A national conference that addresses the link between women and mental health issues and the treatment and care of their families: from spouses to children and from parents to extended family members. As has long been recognized and formally noted at the 2000 “Conference for Women” hosted by the United Nations: The well-being of our society rests squarely with the well-being of women.” This Conference is designed to ensure that women can get up to date and accurate information – in a supportive and empowering environment – about their mental well-being.

The Next Frontier in Mental Health: From Research to Patients Toronto, CA
Symposium featuring NARSAD Investigator Grantees from around the world will gather to advance our understanding of a range of mental illnesses in light of recent discoveries. This year's event will move the discussion further along to treatment, and will look at examples of programs that address first episode and early detection, with a particular focus on schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
