First, I know that making decisions regarding charitable donations is not easy.  There are many worthwhile, very important causes. 

Second, I hope you will review the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation’s website to see what its important Mission is. (http://bbrfoundation.org)

Because I think this charity has a very important Mission and because it is a unique charity (with 100% of research donations going to research), I will again be on the road, so to speak, by running some (albeit as an 83-year old!!) and walking fast mostly to complete the Detroit International Half Marathon on October 19, 2014.  As an 80-year old, I completed the full marathon – but time moves along and a half marathon seems more reasonable!!

Having to select a fund-raising goal, I selected $30,000 because it will fund a Young Investigator’s research for a year.  Whatever the amount raised, I will be very pleased because 100% of the money will go to research.  None of it goes to the overhead costs of this charity.
