In loving memory of Steven Holmes Gibson.

Steven struggled for many years with major depressive disorder which lead to self-medicating, substance abuse and recently a traumatic brain injury. We learned on Friday, May 13, that after battling for many years, he decided to take his own life.

Steve was a bright, caring, kind and empathetic person with a huge heart for others. Though we are heartbroken, we hope that he has finally found the peace and understanding he so longed for in life.

Thank you for your donation. Our hope is that with these funds, the scientific community can come closer to understanding and effectively treating mental health issues.
