Debra Anderson, of Tampa, Florida passed away on 23 June 2017 due to complications from a long-term debilitating illness.

Debbie grew up a true "Northshore Girl" along the coast of Massachusetts and had for the past 20-years resided in Raleigh, North Carolina and Tampa, Florida.  She is survived by the "love of her life" husband, her parents, sister, two nieces, and several cousins.

Debbie had an intoxicating personality and had many passions, none more important to her than beloved family and friends. Debbie’s family and friends were everything to her and she cherished every moment of the time she spent with them doing things like cooking, boating, biking, traveling, hiking, camping, cooking, exercising, and being an amazing “fur baby” mom.  She also enjoyed reading, writing, dance, music and just having family time at home.

For over 20-years, Debbie and her husband also traveled the world frequenting exciting places such as Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, The United Kingdom, The Czech Republic, and countless islands scattered across the Caribbean.

Debbie was destined from an early age to make a difference in people’s, which led to her many life successes in Business Finance, Corporate Law, and Real Estate.  During her 40+ year career, she truly made a difference in the countless lives she touched.  She was a truly gifted professional, community member, and friend.  Her patience, compassion, work ethic and genuine love for helping and inspiring people made her a natural in and out of the workplace.

Debbie leaves behind countless family members, friends, and colleagues who were touched by her light, optimism, joy and kindness. While our hearts are beyond broken at our immeasurable loss, we know the legacy she leaves behind will carry us through the difficult times.

We would like to express our appreciation for the many family, friends, colleagues and even strangers who have shown such generosity during her struggles, giving so freely of their time, words of encouragement and more.  We also wish to thank the doctors, nurses, therapists and medical support staff who helped us through these trying times.

We invite you to share your thoughts of Debbie here - whether it's a special memory, a recollection of a time you spent together, a favorite song or story you shared, or anything you would like her family and loved ones to know. We are comforted by your words and thoughts and know they will continue to bring us peace in the challenging days ahead.

In lieu of flowers her husband has requested that friends and family contribute to Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. You can donate by clicking the following link.  https://bbrfoundation.donordrive.com/campaign/debra
