Jay was a funny, sensitive, and intelligent young man, who lived life to the very fullest every day. He was passionate writing and performing music, skateboarding, snowboarding. He also loved dogs, especially his pup, Kona.

Jay suffered from manic depression and bipolar disorder, both cognitive disorders that can be incredibly challenging to manage while still living a normal life. Unfortunately, Jay lost the battle to his mental illness on February 9th, 2018. With your donations to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, our hope is that scientists around the world can use those funds to help understand the causes and develop new ways to treat brain and behavior disorders like Jay's.

If you or someone you know is suffering from thoughts of self-harm, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. This remarkable organization has a national network of crisis centers committed to assisting anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress by providing free, confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
