Support Me

Friends and Family,

In 2014, after more than a decade spent battling depression and OCD, I lost my little brother Dylan. This event led me to want to help join the fight to combat mental illness. So two years ago, my close friend Brian and I partnered with The Brian and Behavior Research Foundation ("BBRF") to raise an unexpected $17,000 while completing in our first Ironman 70.3 in Saint George, Utah. We were truly astonished with your generosity and support.

Once again, I'm asking for this generosity and support.

Too many of us have been impacted by mental illness, and while we may still stigmatize these often misunderstood disorders, we are making progress. Over the pass year BBRF has funded depression research, new drugs, feed-back based therapy, brain re-circuiting and much more. Recently, famous star athletes, including Steve Young (NFL,) Kevin Love (NBA,) and Michael Phelps (Olympian) have publicly discussed their struggles, helping to stimulate the public conversation on these topics.

On a personal level, my brother's memory continues to motivate me to make a difference and raise awareness. On June 2nd I'll be competing in another Ironman 70.3 in Hawaii. The race consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13.1 mile run. To honor Dylan and to make a difference for those who fight a battle I can't fathom, I am working with BBRF again to raise money towards funding new, "out of the box" innovative research into a mental illness.

I have a goal of $5,000 over the next two months while I train hard until race day. 100% of contributions are invested in research grants to neuroscientists who are helping us find cures. Please join me to help make a difference to fund research that has the potential to change and save lives.
