Support Me

We lost our son, Brendan Lauderdale to depression on May 2, 2018 at age 18.  Brendan was loved by his family, friends, and community.  He was an International Baccalaureate diploma candidate, a mentor for other students, an athlete and a swim coach.  He planned to attend James Madison University in the fall.

Brendan had been prescribed medication for his depression but refused to take it because it made him feel disconnected from himself.  We have chosen Brain & Behavior Research Foundation to support in Brendan's memory because of the work they are doing to help find better medications for people suffering with mental illness.  I hope that through this we can raise awareness that mental illness is an illness just like cancer or pneumonia and that it needs to be treated.

Thank you for your love and support of our family.
