1 in 5 adults live with a Mental Illness,  20% of children either currently or at some point during their life have had a mental disorder.  More than 450 million people around the world live with mental illnesses.  I am competing in my first ever full Ironman Triathlon in Mt. Tremblant Canada August 20th, 2017.  Yes, the preparation for this event which is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run is grueling and a struggle but it cannot compare to the struggles that people with mental illnesses go through every single day.  Mental Illness covers such a wide array of topics, from Addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Eating Disorders, OCD, PTSD and Schizophrenia.  Please join me in being a small part in the journey to help find a cure, there is no donation that is too small and 100% of donations go directly to research.

  • The mission of the Foundation is to alleviate the suffering caused by mental illness by awarding grants that will lead to advances and breakthroughs in scientific research.

  • 100% of donations for research are invested directly into research grants thanks to the generosity of two family foundations that underwrite operational expenses at the Foundation.

  • The funding model of the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation encourages new and innovative research in that we are able to support new ideas from bottom up generated by scientists.

  • The Foundation only funds scientists whose research is reviewed and recommended by a world-renowned Scientific Council including Nobel Prize winners and chairs of psychiatric departments.
