Ben DeCrease -- book uber-nerd, aficionado of music & film, teacher, mushroom hunter, mountaineer, Amazon geek, and wonderful friend -- passed away on February 1, 2015. The family requests that donations be directed to this fund in his name at the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation.

Ben experienced a life-time of depression that he learned how to manage with charm and applomb.  Still, no one should have to suffer this in their lives. This fund supports BBR's mission:

The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation is committed to alleviating the suffering caused by mental illness by awarding grants that will lead to advances and breakthroughs in scientific research.

Ben DeCrease is survived by his loving mother Christine DeCrease, his loving father Dean DeCrease, and loving girlfriend Kathryn Madden.
