Richard Hilstad Lee Abbott, "Hil",  passed away unexpectedly August 28, 2016 at Auburn University.

Hil was born June 2, 1998 in Buenos Aires Argentina, the son of Courtney Cotton and Richard Abbott.  

Hil graduated from Littleton High School in May of 2016 and was beginning his studies at Auburn University in engineering and pledged Phi Kappa Tau.  He was a lacrosse player, golfer, avid traveler and a great friend!  A loyal fan of Arsenal, Argentina and  the Miami Dolphins.  

Hil made a lasting impression on many people while putting them at ease. His sense of humor and quick wit will remain in our hearts forever and continue to put a smile on our faces as his bright light lives on. 

He is survived by his mother, Courtney Cotton and father Richard Abbott. His brothers, Samuel and Noah Abbott; uncles, Daniel Cotton and Chris Abbott; aunt Lara Silk (Tom Silk); his maternal grandparents, Lois and Jim Cotton and his paternal grandparents, Vivian and Rick Abbott.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 4:00 pm at the University Park United Methodist Church
